Kisgyőr is situated in the North -East part of Hungary at the southern foot of Bükk - mountain. The region is surrounded by mountains and hills which provide magnificent appearance to the out -of- way settlement from each sides. The number of inhabitants is 1645.
Beyond the beauty of scenery, hospitality of the residents is the first thing that surely makes impession on the visitors. Kisgyőr can offer a good possibility for those who prefer calm, quiet recreation, instead of busy and commercialized places and for those who want to get acquainted with Hungarian folk customs, cultures and traditions, in authentic environments.

In this village the visitors can also find a well organised community centre where several entertaining events are held in every season of the year. The village is famous for its folk groups, folk songs circle, and wood carving traditions. The annual celebration of grape harvesting, and horse race meeting attracts a lot of people from the whole country and abroad.

In the courtyard a fenced -off parkplace offers security for those who arrive by cars. The village can be reached by bus as well, from Miskolc. The distance between the Hungary's third largest town and Kisgyőr is only 25 km.
For active recreations holiday - makers can go for outings to the nearby forest. Wandering amoung trees on marked tourist pathes, the excursionist besides the beauty of scenery can also admire the wild life in a Natural Conservation area, which is part of the Bükk National Park.
Conditions are given for us to arrange bicycle and cart tours at request and in winter there are ski resorts for skiers in the neighbouring villages.
For those who are interested in hunting we can help obtaining proper shooting licence from the official hunter association, existing in this region.
